I’m David Reeve, the guy behind EIM Marketing & Public Relations. My experience includes more than ten years of marketing, public relations, and creative brand development of companies across a broad spectrum of sectors, including digital media, Software-as-a-Service, energy, entertainment, and consumer product goods; from start-ups to high profile corporations like DreamWorks and Richard Branson’s Auticon.
I’ve helped clients received more than $70 million in venture capital financing from Kleiner Perkins, Redpoint, Sutter Hill, Battery, Tech Coast Angels and more.
My employers benefit from my ability to develop strategic marketing plans aligned with and driving company objectives that address the holistic needs of a company, as this is what I love to do.
I often call on my strengths as a visual storyteller to develop brands and communicate complex ideas and relay a company’s message to customers, investors, and the press. In 2015, I won the Hermes Platinum Creative Award for Brand Development.
My visual storytelling experience comes from many years in Hollywood making feature films, most notably with Academy Award winners Ron Howard and Brian Grazer as a part of their executive staff at Imagine Entertainment in Beverly Hills. Additionally, I spent time at DreamWorks building an online video company and at Universal Pictures in story development.
For clients, I develop viral marketing videos, documentaries, and process videos, including the YouTube hit, “Free Kisses”.
The stories I generate for my companies have appeared in the New York Times, Adweek, BBC World News, WSJ, and dozens of other newspapers, trade journals, blogs, and magazines.
As a photographer, my work has appeared in National Geographic, The New York Post, and Yahoo! Sports. I use my camera to document conditions in juvenile prisons for Vantage. For nearly ten years, I’ve been a Mentor and Committee Member for Pablove.org’s Shutterbugs program, where I teach photography to kids living with Cancer. My Shutterbugs work was featured in the Orange County Register and in this Emmy-winning documentary for KCET television.
I collect and use data to influence my marketing decisions. My market research reports have been cited in USA Today, Orange County Register, and dozens of regional business journals, newspapers, and blogs – the subject matter was even taught at Google Headquarters as a part of their certification program. I published, “The Great Divide”, a report that I later produced as a series of web-based videos. I was selected to speak on the topic of marketing data at the Nielsen//NetRatings Client Meeting in Beverly Hills.
As a ghost-writer, I currently publish monthly articles in trade publications on the topic of digital advertising, media, and business efficiency.
I am a frequent guest lecturer at Chapman University on the topic of public relations.
